Jordy Núñez, composer, arranger, and pianist, was born in 2000 in Quito. Active musician within the circuits of the Ecuadorian music industry. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the National Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Musical Arts with an Itinerary in Composition For Contemporary Media from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Berklee Global Partner), from which he graduated with Summa Cum Laude recognition and as the best graduated from his class (2022). His work as a composer has allowed him to be part of prestigious worldwide film scoring competitions where he has been selected as a finalist multiple times. He extends his work to writing music for short films, corporate advertisements, jingles, songs, and pieces for important businesses in his country as well as for symphony orchestras and big bands. As a commissioned composer, he has written pieces that have been performed in the most prestigious scenarios of Ecuador.
As a classical pianist, he has participated in UNESCO programs where he has been awarded notable recognition for his performances (2017).
As a session pianist, he recorded for the artists Martín Cisneros (Quito) and ELCONX (Quito) with whom he has published albums and EPs.
He currently performs large-scale concerts throughout Ecuador with Paul Tamayo's Zandunga Orquesta where he works as a performer and arranger. He has served as musical director for this award-winning project as well as for many other related projects in his country. He has shared the stage with Los Dukes (Ecuador), Paulina Tamayo (Ecuador), Trébol Clan (Puerto Rico), La Factoría (Panamá), and Emi Valencia (Ecuador), among other artists.
