Rommel Carreera is a former semi-professional musician, songwriter, singer, with a major label release in the 1990s. Since then, he has recorded primarily as a solo artist under the moniker “The BratCave”, and has won a songwriting award from the CCP. He is a first time author.
He did various odd jobs to support his artistic endeavours, including being a process and design engineer for a multinational energy company, and as a business leader for several multinational organisations across various industries.
He graduated with a degree of BS Chemical Engineering (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and topped the Chemical Engineering board examinations. He was also an outstanding graduate of the Asian Institute of Management’s Basic Management Program.
His education on music composition and creative writing came from courses on Coursera, EdX and Youtube.
